Sara Patterson wrote stories about the measurable contributions of American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) volunteers to global health care, especially helping AIDS patients as a valued partner for the past five years of the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC). She also wrote an in-depth profile of John R. Ball, MD, JD, departing Executive Vice President of ASCP and a story about the advantages of earning an international ASCP certification. Ms. Patterson also served as the Assistant Editor for this issue of Critical Values.
